Cloud 9 Adventures Announces the Return of Strings & Sol
It’s been a long, quiet winter for Cloud 9 Adventures, but the destination music events company is back in a big way with the return of Strings & Sol and a head-turning lineup that makes up for lost time. Set to take place December 9-13 at the all-inclusive resorts Dreams Riviera Cancun and Now Sapphire in Puerto Morelos , Mexico, the ninth incarnation of the bluegrass-centric event will feature Greensky Bluegrass, Yonder Mountain String Band, Trampled by Turtles, Railroad Earth, The Infamous Stringdusters, Leftover Salmon, and more.
They’ll be joined by The Lil Smokies, Broke Mountain Bluegrass Band, and Lindsay Lou. Greensky Bluegrass and Yonder Mountain String Band will play three sets each, while Railroad Earth, The Infamous Stringdusters, Leftover Salmon, and The Lil Smokies will perform two shows.
Over the years, Strings & Sol has cultivated a close-knit community of artists and bluegrass fans whose interactions create an intimate event for returning guests, first-timers, musicians, and staff alike. Besides mind-blowing music, attendees can expect instrument workshops, beachside jam sessions, and theme nights, not to mention the chance to explore the beauty and culture of the Maya Riviera region.
Strings & Sol is again partnering with Positive Legacy, the nonprofit arm of Cloud 9 Adventures, to encourage artists and fans to participate in a day of service in the community of Puerto Morelos as a way of giving back. Details for this year’s community outreach along with artist-hosted activities, and theme nights will be released this summer.
All-inclusive packages for returning Strings & Sol guests can be reserved during a pre-sale set for April 21. If rooms remain, the public sale will begin at 1:00 p.m. ET on April 22 on the event’s website. For more information, click on the links below.
